Services will be held at Osceola United Methodist Church, Thursday Maat 10:30 am with Amy Johnson officiating.The family will greet friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday, Maat Kale Funeral Home. Patsy will be greatly missed by her husband William children Geoff (Jana), Karen (John) Cooper, Kevin (Kerri) Holst 4 grandchildren Cole, Cheyenne, Brooke and Jayden and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Wanda and Wilma, her brother in law Leon and her niece, Sandra. She loved to see new and interesting places and always came home with detailed stories. Patsy traveled often with her husband Bill and sister-in-law, Suzanne (Bill) Knopf. You could find her singing in the choir, knitting prayer shawls, sewing quilts for her grandchildren, baking sweet breads for anyone that enjoyed them, playing bridge at the senior center, spending time with family and friends or crocheting baby hats for premies. She was a very involved member of the United Methodist Church in Osceola and served as an active member of United Methodist Women (UMW) for many decades.Patsy enjoyed sharing her talents with others. Together they raised Geoff (Jana) Holst, Karen (John) Cooper, and Kevin (Kerri) Holst. On Jshe married the love of her life, William Holst. Patsy taught in many capacities ranging from the only teacher for grades K-8 in a one room school house to teaching Title I math to 4th - 6th graders at Clarke Community Schools in Osceola, IA. After graduating from Lebanon High School she earned her teaching degree from Drury University in Springfield, MO. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church.
